Consultation and supervision

This is a service for professionals such as psychologists, social workers, doctors, teachers and managers, people who work with people, encounter human problems on a daily basis and whose work is often stressful and emotionally charged.

Consultation or supervision means discussing one’s own professional work, particularly the problematic aspects, with a consultant or supervisor to ensure the efficacy of the client-work and to prevent burn-out. Practicing psychotherapists and counsellors are required to actively seek and regularly use supervision as well as consultative support whenever necessary. Supervised clinical practice is an essential component of psychotherapist training programmes.
